Who are we?

Ben and Jyoti each have nearly a quarter-century of experience in policy economics. Ben has worked for the Reserve Bank, Treasury, Productivity Commission, and the Australian Bureau of Statistics on social policy, the labour market, potential growth, climate change, the national accounts, competition policy, and superannuation policy. Jyoti has worked for the Treasury, Australian Tax Office, and the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade on macroeconomic and fiscal forecasting, industry and social policy, and international economic policy, and has worked with the IMF in Sub-Saharan Africa, Central Asia, and the Pacific. Both have published quasi-academic, policy relevant papers and authored several government documents including Budget papers.

Neither are currently employed in the Australian Public Service, and while their analyses are informed by their experience, their conclusions are based solely on publicly available information.
