Where democracy goes to die
Speaking as a proud South Australian, I am saddened by the measures taken by their local parliament to impose larger penalties and jail time on protesters.
Australia is busy sending military equipment to Ukraine together with humanitarian assistance to support their bid to stave off an aggressive, totalitarian state.
Meanwhile, the South Australian Government is busy becoming an aggressive, totalitarian state by imposing fines of up to $50,000 or 3 months imprisonment for peaceable protest.
Shame.
One wonders whether those voting comprehend what their vote means.
